February 21st

Hey all I hope everyone enjoyed their Presidents/Valentines Day weekend! We took a break from the ward blog as well, but we are back again this week. The theme for this upcoming Sunday is missionary work. Specifically the Missionary council will be speaking and presenting the ward mission plan. What are your feelings regarding missionary work? With few non-members around us to share the gospel with, how can we act as missionaries?

  1. I think that Bethany and Eric did such a great job speaking about Missionary Work in sacrament meeting today. It seemed like a hard subject to teach because we've already heard so much about this subject. The probably thought: How could learn something new? How could I teach it in a different way? I'll tell you: with "Jokes and Lies." haha. They were so great and in tune with what we needed to hear. For me, the biggest lesson I learned today was how many people there were and are on the earth and how sad it was that so many were without a testimony. That inspired me that i needed to get out of my comfort zone. I know there are zillions of people out there... (the whole hymn book analogy was really funny Eric, but it worked! There's a lot of people!) I also learned that every member is a convert because all of us need to gain a personal testimony of this true and thriving gospel. The great fact is: we can be missionaries, to others as well as our selves.

Thanks for the Blog! It looks great!

  3. I definitely have a lot to learn about missionary work. But in light of Michelle's comment... Every member has to gain his or her own testimony to be truly converted. Many of us have younger siblings or friends who haven't yet gained this testimony. Helping our siblings gain testimonies is a great missionary opportunity.
